Other days of Hannukah were celebrated as is our custom – with friends, lighting candles, celebrating all the birthdays that come during that time. This year the Ginsberg family joined us for dinner, birthday cake and candles to celebrate the birthdays for the family patriarchs. Avi and I hosted a party for the last night featuring latkes, donuts and brisket. It unfortunately competed with the raw food shabbaton that Peta hosted with Gabriel Cousins. I don’t know which is more the holiday spirit, but I assure you we had the deadest food.
